You can upgrade to Windows 11 if you and your PC are ready and willing provided you are sure any legacy applications and business software will run on the new Operating system and your hardware is suitable. However there is no immediate need to upgrade, Windows 10 will be around for quite a while yet.
Permanently disabling automatic updates in Windows 10 may cause security and stability problems, so you may prefer to “pause” to install them at a more convenient time.
To disable automatic updates temporarily, use these steps:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Update & Security.
- Click on Windows Update.
- Click the “Pause updates for 7 days”
